Hamas and the art of dancing on corpses
It is neither expected nor required that everyone understands the Russian position on the Middle East, the Arab world, and the Islamic nation. It is also not necessary for all Arab forces and parties to support Russian policy in the Middle East.
We wrote in the past and repeat it; politics is governed by interests, not morals, but a little morality makes the pursuit of pure interests in political work more acceptable and understandable... Peoples respect and honor politicians fortified with morals, principles, and honesty more than those who are fickle in their positions and alliances like a rooster's tail in the wind.
Some Palestinian factions, led by the Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas – are a glaring example of dancing on the rope and manipulation for narrow pure interests. Most Hamas leaders wear the Palestinian national mask to hide their true Brotherhood nature and blind loyalty to this political current which, after the so-called Arab Spring, became a dagger in the back of nationalism and patriotism in most Arab countries in our Arab East. Now the fog has lifted, the true face has appeared, and these gentlemen have revealed the secrets of their hearts and minds.
Today, Hamas’s political bureau has become a tool in the hands of both Qatar and Turkey, and the bureau’s decisions and political national and regional orientations are cooked in Qatar and embellished in Turkey before being presented by the political bureau leadership to the media and the masses.
Hamas’s political bureau now operates according to the Arab proverb: Whoever wants to eat the Sultan’s bread must strike with his sword! Only thus can we understand and analyze their press statements related to the liberation of Aleppo by the Syrian Arab Army and its allies from the hands of terrorist movements born from the womb of the Muslim Brotherhood. In this context, we understand the disgraceful dancing and rejoicing over the assassination of the Russian ambassador in Ankara, which spread to the Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian camp and the Gaza Strip. Those who danced and distributed sweets after the announcement of the terrorist act in Ankara were members of Islamic groups close to Hamas, orbiting it, nourished by its ideological approach, and supported by Hamas’s political bureau either by silence about these disgraceful manifestations or by politically congratulating them in ways far from the Palestinian national interest.
Schadenfreude at the victim is vile... This is what the Arabs said, and this is what the greatest Prophet – peace be upon him – taught: “Do not show gloating over your brother lest God cure him and afflict you” (Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and graded good).
We ask these fallen ones: How can you rejoice at the assassination of a political person from whom you have never seen harm or evil from him or his government?
Russia did not support the Zionist entity nor stand by it in the seizure of our homeland and the killing of our people in Gaza; on the contrary, it stood by us when the American devil defended the Zionist attacks on Gaza al-Hashim and the killing of its children... Russia has been and remains a strong support for the realization of the rights of our Arab Palestinian people to self-determination at a time when your friends, Qataris, Saudis, and Turks, have opened their economic, diplomatic, and intelligence doors wide to the occupier of your land, violator of your honor, and killer of your children and mothers in occupied Palestine!
Russia graduated thousands of Palestinians and tens of thousands of Arabs from its universities after teaching them medicine, engineering, and law at the expense of its people and homeland! Russia stood gallantly during the tripartite aggression on Arab Egypt and supported the steadfastness of the resistance in Lebanon against the Zionist enemy... Russia is the state and government we call upon with its diplomatic power to support the struggle of our Palestinian people in the United Nations and international forums!
Russia did not occupy Iraq nor kill one and a half million of its innocent people in a brutal war... Russia did not work to overthrow regimes in the Arab East nor promote creative chaos as your friends, Wahhabis, Arab Zionists, and Americans did... Russia did not bomb the people of Yemen who emerged from the rubble in Sanaa chanting for Jerusalem and Palestine... Russia never closed its doors to Palestinian resistance factions; rather, the door was wide open to all, from leftists and socialists to conservatives, and you too are the sons of Sayyid Qutb and disciples of Wahhabism!
Russia came and spent dearly to save the heart of Arabism – the Levant – from the claws of the Daesh terrorist beast and to free it from the Wahhabi headcutters with money... Russia supported the Syrian Arab Army and its allies to eliminate Al-Qaeda supported by your Turkish and Qatari friends... Russia came to stand with the Arab Syrian friend after you betrayed the friendship and hospitality that the Syrian people and leadership have granted you over many years.
You, my brothers in the leadership of Hamas, are tampering with the Palestinian entity in Syria and cooperating with enemies to hand over the Yarmouk camp and destroy Nahr al-Bared, and now you are tampering in the Ain al-Hilweh camp to please your new masters, the protectors of Al-Qaeda and its spawn in the East. You are the ones who maneuver and manipulate Palestinian national unity to serve Al Saud and Al Hamad!
You claim to be pious Muslims guided by the words of the Lord and His Quran, yet you are far from the words of God and His great Prophet. Schadenfreude at others is the trait of disbelievers and hypocrites about whom God said: {If good befalls you, it grieves them; but if evil befalls you, they rejoice therein. And if you patiently persevere and fear Allah, their plot will not harm you at all} (Al-Imran: 120).
Let those who gloat over others know that times change, and the wise poet says:
Tell those who gloat over us to awaken * The gloaters will meet the same fate as we did
And God Almighty said when the disbelievers gloated over the Muslims in the Battle of Uhud: {If a wound should touch you - there has already touched the [opposing] people a wound similar to it. And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people} (Al-Imran: 140).
Dancing on the corpses of others is not only schadenfreude but a disgraceful act that neither a Muslim nor a patriot would commit.
