Almost no morning sun rises without the Arab and Palestinian press appearing prominently with articles and analyses linking, from near and far, everything around a specific political event or political statement about the Deal of the Century... These two words have become like the joker in a card game, suitable for every movement and every justification, and politicians resort to them to hide their lack of correct answers to pressing questions, and analysts and journalists use them to give their articles political momentum.

Since the launch of this experimental balloon, as I call it, by the administration of President Trump to gauge the pulse of the Arab and Palestinian political street and monitor official reactions in the East, and everyone in our Arab East is striking the dagger to read between the lines what this unknown deal might contain. None of them, American, Arab, or European, has been able to disclose to us even by writing these lines, the content of this deal... In short, there are no details and no content... Everyone is chasing a mirage, while the American and its Israeli ally await how politics and society in the East will move and observe every step and every reaction to formulate their future strategy, if it comes at all, as desired.

Since the announcement of the Deal of the Century, or as Trump initially called it; the final deal, with a brief news and the world waiting for its details... The American administration, which fundamentally lacks a clear strategy for the Middle East after the failure of its Brotherhood-linked project related to the new Ottomanism and the failure of its allies, Saudis, Qataris, Turks, Zionists, and collaborators, in destabilizing and dividing the Middle East as planned by the neoconservatives, and in light of the Russian positioning and the advance of the resistance alliance, Trump's administration repeatedly threatens to soon announce the deal's details, and each time while everyone awaits the details, readings in the coffee cup and speculations increase in the Arab East.

It is clear and does not require high political acumen or strong strategic analysis, that any deal to rearrange the Middle East must begin and end with the Palestinian issue. This issue is considered by everyone without exception as the key to peace

Stability is the key to war and chaos in the Middle East, and there is no possible solution to this issue without a Palestinian partner.

The American administration and its Israeli partner have unleashed all their plans, projects, weapons, and intrigues to bring forth a Palestinian partner who agrees to their visions to dismantle the Palestinian cause, but they have failed so far… All Palestinians, from President Mahmoud Abbas and Fatah, through the leftist democratic factions, to Hamas and the Islamist political factions, have refused to be dragged behind the temptations, threats, and American and Israeli promises, repeatedly declaring their rejection.

Acceptance of the minimum stipulated by the United Nations resolutions and its Security Council to resolve the Palestinian issue and reach a consensual peace with the occupation state.

If we assume that the common opinion that work has begun long ago on the Deal of the Century is correct, then let us address these implementations and scrutinize their successes and failures:

Firstly, after the failure of the Brotherhood and the new Ottoman project, the confinement of the Brotherhood’s role in the East, the decline of the Qatari sponsor’s role, and the disruption of the Turkish sponsor by internal political and economic problems, the American administration brought Prince Mohammed bin Salman and appointed him Crown Prince in Saudi Arabia to be a soft tool in their hands to increase the brutality of the war on Yemen and Syria and to curb Iran’s role in the region. As a start to intensify pressure on the Palestinian side to accept what is offered to them as crumbs, since, this was their plan, they became without a supporter for their cause and national demands in the region… Mohammed bin Salman, who promised to bring the Palestinian partner to sign the deal, failed miserably on all fronts… Yemen remains steadfast against aggression, and the strength of Yemen and its people increases day by day, Syria is moving from success to success, and the resistance alliance led by Iran and Hezbollah has reached the peak of achieving its goals. Sanctions and demonization did not deter them from steadfastness and progress on all fronts, in Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq… Mohammed bin Salman could not bring a Palestinian party to sign with him what Trump wanted, and he himself was caught in the Khashoggi case trap that will topple him from the Saudi throne, and his only concern now is to save himself and his throne after spending dearly on the Americans to protect and support him in his failed satanic project.

Secondly, Israel’s attempt to drag the resistance alliance into an open war that ends with a ceasefire agreement and then a new beginning with negotiations on the Palestinian issue from a position of strength also failed. The resistance forces understood the meaning of this game, absorbed the Israeli aggressions, and proceeded to send qualitative fiery messages that forced Israel to retreat and limit itself to harassing Gaza at times and Syria at others to save face, trying to show its muscles and maintain at least some of the deterrence strategy that was already broken in its last war on Lebanon and its successive aggression on the Gaza Strip.

Thirdly The United States' recognition of Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel and the relocation of its embassy to Jerusalem, in accordance with the 1995 Congressional decision, was, in my opinion, a move from a position of weakness as America and its allies in the region have not been able to achieve any notable accomplishment over the past ten years to corner the Palestinians and force them to accept the Israeli-American crumbs... America, which in the Trump era hides like Israel behind walls of concrete and barbed wire, has become globally isolated and ostracized and has failed to convince any of its allies to move their embassies to Jerusalem; only three small countries responded... The Western world, Asia, Africa, Russia, and the Islamic world all rejected and condemned the idea, and Uruguay reversed its step and closed its embassy in Jerusalem.

Fourthly America's attempt to increase pressure on the Palestinian leadership by withdrawing its support for UNRWA was overcome by commitments from Western and other countries to cover most of the gap left by the United States' withdrawal from its obligations... Although Arab countries did not participate in covering the deficit, this does not diminish the success achieved by Palestinian diplomacy in confronting American pressure and Israeli arrogance.

If these are steps to implement the Deal of the Century as some claim, then all these steps have failed, leaving only mirages circulated by Eastern media morning and evening and waved by Eastern politicians who lack a clear future strategy for their countries and peoples... We

The attempt to link every small and large issue specifically to the Palestinian situation and generally to the Middle East

In the nebulous Deal of the Century, it is nothing but hiding behind a sand dune in a desert and a proof of a real crisis surrounding the Palestinian political system and the entire Arab system.

Dealing with the defeated nebulous Deal of the Century requires a clear and defined strategy, not promoting it in the media morning and evening and ignoring it as Western and Israeli media do because it

They know that without a Palestinian partner, it is not worth the ink with which it will be written…

The Palestinian strategy must be based on two main axes:

First, accelerating the elevation of the homeland and the national interest above the party and factional interest by overcoming division

And confronting all harm with one voice, one legitimacy, and a modern political system based on partnership and rejecting exclusion and domination

Second, positive tactical engagement, which is not only achieved by rejecting the unknown and giving the enemy—American, Israeli, and Arab regimes—arguments to portray the Palestinian as nihilistic and unworthy of being a partner… The correct response to the bubbles of the Deal of the Century, which are spread here and there, is a clear official Palestinian answer: We are ready for any solution that guarantees the Palestinian people the right to self-determination, the return of its refugees, and the building of its fully sovereign independent state within its known borders and according to Security Council resolutions and international law
